Six: snowflake

Yesterday: there was a sighting. Not of anything extraterrestrial…snow fell. It may have been for only twenty seconds, before swiftly turning into sleet, a downpour, and a powercut, but it was festive nonetheless.

Today there has been no such luck with the arrival of snow, so instead of being disheartened when I found a snowflake in today’s calendar, I made my own. I’m fairly certain a five-year-old could have also done it – but there’s a lot to be said for unleashing your inner child in the yuletide season…The average snowflake falls at a speed of 3.1 miles per hour, and I simply couldn’t wait any longer.

If you’re just too cool for making paper in snowflakes: get over yourself. It might be a ridiculous way to spend even five minutes, but remember what happened to Scrooge? Exactly. I don’t want to be visited by three ghosts and do a wee bit o’ space/time travel, especially while I’m in my pyjamas. Plus – his bed hat is ugly.
