Moldova: Eduard Romanyuta

Where to start, Eduard?

1) Pop Idol has long-since been won, and Liberty X have long since split, did you know?
2) Your locks are very luscious, but would it be so awful to get a haircut?
3) Your song isn’t bad, it’s just that when you’re singing it live, it’s mildly offensive.
4) I will give you that the move you do where a girl collapses onto your hip and you bump her back up again is very cool, and I assume you feel the same way when performing it.
5) The clincher: are you that desperate for this girl’s love that you still want to make out with her right after she has puked? Please tell me this was a mistake in the editing process.

All this said, I will be listening (to the studio version) right up until the moment you get voted out at the semi-finals.

All Kinds of Everything: interview with Eduard Romanyuta

Who is your favourite Eurovision act of all time?

When I have the opportunity, I will gladly follow the performances of the contestants on Eurovision! At first, it’s a professional analysis of what is happening on stage. Secondly, it’s always beautiful and enchanting. The Contest introduces me to more and more new names every year, colourful characters and interesting artists. For example, Loreen is perfect example. Powerful energy, appearance, song, and it all matched. She got number one! Many talented artists in the competition involved there every year!

Babushki4 vs. Lordi4

They were kind of cute and funny. I like when performances charge me with pure and positive emotions. Lordi were too creative, definitely. I can’t say that their performance was poor, no – they were different from other performers; there was no standard, so they won. Such an experiment that worked.

ABBA4 vs. Celine4

WINNER: Céline Dion

Céline Dion – a woman who is strong in spirit, and can transmit it vocally. Work in a team its always more difficult, requires a sensitive relationship to each other and to work as one body. But it’s also very interesting.

Do you have any rituals before going on stage?

To be honest, there are some secrets. But they are not worth telling! Otherwise they will not come true! What is the magician who reveals his secret? The magic disappears!

How do you normally watch the Eurovision Song Contest?

Since the Eurovision period is May, which is considered a time for vacations and holidays, for me it’s a little bit difficult to predict how it will be possible to view the show. For example, last year I was in Thailand and enjoyed watching the show there.

Hello Europe, it’s Camilla calling! Here are the points from the House of Apcar vote.

Moldova: 6 points.

According to my own personal preference, I have awarded points to all 40 acts entering this year’s contest, with four countries receiving each set of points used by the EBU (12, 10, and 8-1).
